Let me explain ⬇️
Holding the Mike linebacker with your 👀 on quick 3-step passes, including slants is essential.
Oftentimes the biggest mistake rookie quarterbacks can make is telegraphing their passes with their eyes.
A lot of factors go into this but the key is that if you haven’t made it part of your game growing up - Ie using your eyes to hold defenders - you’ll get into a false sense of security at the lower levels of football because the athletes may not be elite enough to take advantage of you staring down receivers.
However, at the NFL level not using your 👀 effectively can lead to HUGE problems.
Let’s learn from this rookie Quarterback almost throwing a pick six out of his own end zone for the Arizona Cardinals against the Cleveland Browns in week 9 of the NFL season.
